Instruction Synopsis
Propitas was instructed to provide technical due diligence services with regards to Wesleyan’s proposed acquisition of four retail assets located across the country. These properties ranged from modern high street stores with residential accommodation above, to prominent listed buildings.
Following our appointment, a small and experienced team was assembled to carry out the inspections, with executive summaries issued within a pre-agreed timeframe. Following the issue of the reports, we continued to liaise with the client as well as their legal, agency and environmental advisers in order to close out all issues that had been identified as a result of our inspections.
How Propitas added Value
We had a single point of contact to deal with the distribution of flow of information, as well as QA of final reports, to ensure consistency of approach and advice. This gave the client comfort that each report reflected their specific tailored requirements, as well as peace of mind that queries were being dealt with by a single point of contact, reducing the stress that a portfolio acquisition can bring.
Our diligent approach in ensuring our final reports did not contain open ended recommendations, meant that our client was able to proceed with the acquisition with all key risks closed out, and clear reports in place to document this.
