On behalf of Almero Developments, Propitas have been appointed as Project Manager and Employer’s Agent for the phased refurbishment of the existing student halls of residence. Located in the northern part of the Edgbaston area, to the south of Birmingham City Centre, the site comprises 8 no. purpose built student residential blocks originally constructed in 1995. 

The client’s brief is to enhance and improve the quality of living for every student by renovating and modernising all of the blocks as well as implementing essential repairs and maintenance to the external fabric. Also being progressed are opportunities to further rejuvenate the site and provide additional student bedrooms and communal amenity space, which subject to planning will be incorporated within the scheme. The refurbishment works are now out to tender, with a planned start date in the New Year and are due to be completed ready for the start of next year’s Autumn semester.
