Propitas were appointed by a national retailer to undertake dilapidations assessments of a number of their retail locations across the UK (including sites in Scotland, Wales and Cornwall) as part of a strategic review of current lease liabilities. Detailed inspections of the properties were undertaken together with a comprehensive review of lease documentation in order to calculate the cost of potential dilapidations liabilities. These costs became an important factor in assessing the feasibility of retention or relocation of a number of sites as part of the client’s strategic decision making process.
